Creating Database Connection

Creating Database Connection


Open the OAF... >>


Click the connection tab>>Database>>Right click >>New Database Connection
click next>>>

Connection name: Oracle>>click next.
Now,Give the HOST details.

go tot the patch file>>>

F:\p9172975_R12_GENERIC\jdevhome\jdev\dbc_files\secure   give the VIS.DBC file.

open it with notepad--> you can find HOST file details.

Drive:Thin
HostName:apps.ora.com
JDBCport:1521
SID:VIS

>next>testconnection>Success>ok.>click finish.

Creating Workspace and Project

Right click on Application>>New OA Workspace.

file name:Hello
Package: p9172975_R12_GENERIC\jdevhome\jdev\Myproject.

>>select OA Project>>OK
click next>Project Name: HelloPR 
                  Default Name: hello.oracle.apps.po.hello.webui

>>click next>>select the
 Database:Oracle
DBCFilename : p9172975_R12_GENERIC\jdevhome\jdev\dbc_files\secure\VIS,dbc
UserName: operations
Password: welcome

Application Short Name :PO
Responsibility Key Work :PURCHASING_OPERATIONS
>>CLICK>FINISH

Creating Application Module

Right click on the server>New>ADFBusinessComponents>ApplicationModule.

>Package:hello.oracle.apps.po.hello.server
  Name:HelloAM
>>Next>Next>Finish.

Creating PAGE

Right click on the server>New>OAComponent>PAGE>OK

Name: HelloPG
Package:hello.oracle.apps.po.hello.webui

Set the properties:

Click on the region--Change the ID:HelloPLRN
 Bc4J>>>AM Defination:hello.oracle.apps.po.hello.server.HelloAM                                                Window: Hello
Title: My First Page
